Nina's Strudel


Pastry ingredients
2 cups flour
1/2 lb margarine
1 cut sour cream
1 egg yolk

Filling
cinnamon/sugar mixture
walnuts, raisins, jar [apricot] jelly

In the mixmaster (not the food processor)...
Beat [pastry ingredients] and refrigerate overnite - 
divide into 4 [loaves]- roll out [each loaf] on floured 
board - add jelly and nuts and cinnamon/sugar mixture 
- lap over both sides - brush with beaten egg white - 
slice partially thru - Bake ungreased pan 350-375 for
45-60 minutes.

Yale's tips...
1.  Roll each loaf into a 6 by 12 inch strip.
2.  "lap over' means fold long edges to center.
