Nina's Sour Cream Coffee Cake


1 cup sugar
1/4 lb margerine
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 cup sour cream
2 cups flour
1 1/4 tsp baking soda
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt

Topping:
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 cup sugar

Directions
1.  cream butter and sugar
2.  add eggs, sour cream, baking soda, and vanilla
3.  sift flour and baking powder together and combine
    two mixtures
4.  combine nuts, cinnamon, and sugar for topping
5.  In greased pan, pour 1/2 batter, cover with 1/2 
    topping.  Repeat.
6.  Bake at 350 for 45-60 minutes.


Yale's tips...
Nina usually used a round pan that leaves a hole 
through the center of the cake.  I think its called 
a bundt pan.
