I just got back to my desk from the cafeteria, where I picked up a cranberry, nut muffin.  It occurred to me that cranberries and apples might be a great combination for a pie.  So, I went to the Ask Jeeves site...  and that's how I found your recipe.

My wife was a great cook and since she died three years ago and I've been trying my hand with her recipes.  I never baked a thing in my life before that, but I follow her recipes, and when I bring out her rolling pin my memory of watching her takes over and the results taste just like Nina's goodies.

Nina's apple pie is my all time favorite.  However, recently I've been experimenting with a strawberry-rhubarb filling.  I've been refining the recipe seeking that perfect sweet/tart taste.

In exchange for your Apple Cranberry Pie recipe, I've attached a copy of my recipe for Strawberry Rhubarb Pie.

Of course, the real secret of a great pie is in the crust.  If you're interested in Nina's perfect crust, you can visit my web page at...

Thanks, again.
