Jewish Apple Cake
This recipe is from The Cape Neddick House B&B, Cape Neddick, Maine


Preheat oven to 350 degrees

2-3 large apples sliced
2 tbsp. sugar
2 tsp. cinnamon

1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 cup sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup orange juice

1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
3 cup flour

Mix first three ingredients and set aside. Beat together next five ingredients. Add dry ingredients to liquid mixture. Grease tube pan.  Add layer of batter, then apples, then batter, into greased tube pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
