I WAS SO EXCITED WHEN I FOUND THE RECIPE OF BUBBYS BULKAS. THE LIST OF INGREDIENTS WERE IN HER OWN HANDWRITING. THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE IN YOUR MOTHERS HANDWRITING. IF YOU WANT TO BAKE IN YOUR HOUSE THAT'S FINE. IF YOU WOULD LIKE ME THERE WITH YOU I WOULD BE GLAD TO HELP AS I HAVE WATCHED HER DO IT SO MANY TIMES THAT I KNOW SOME OF THE PROCEDURES SHE WENT THROUGH.

BUT HERE IS THE RECIPE:

=== INGREDIENTS:
4 1/2 CUPS FLOUR
2 PKG. YEAST IN 1'2 CUP WARM WATER
1/2 CUP SUGAR (FULL MEASURE)
1 STICK MARGARINE
1/2 CUP WARM MILK
I TSP. SALT
2 EGGS

=== DIRECTIONS:
YOUR MOTHER HAS THE EGGS LISTED AS 2 YOLKS AND 3
WHITES, AS THE THIRD YOLK MIXED WITH A LITTLE WATER IS TO BRUSH
ON TOP OF THE BOULKAS BEFORE BAKING THEM.
STIR 1 STICK MARGARINE, 1 TSP SALT, AND 1/2 CUP SUGAR UNTIL CREAMY
ADD 2 YOLKS AND THREE WHITES
LAST ADD 2 YEAST PACKAGES THAT HAVE BEEN FOAMING IN 1/2 CUP
WARM WATER WITH A PINCH OF SUGAR IN IT
ADD 1/2 CUP WARM (NOT BOILED) MILK
ADD ONE CUP FLOUR AND ADD 2ND CUP AFTER THE FIRST CUP IS MIXED
IN WELL.
THEN ADD 2 MORE CUPS FLOUR KNEAD WITH KNUCKLES, IF DOUGH IS
STICKYADD FLOUR AND KNEAD ON A BOARD UNTIL SILKY
WARM UP POT AND COAT IT WITH OIL, PUT IN OVEN WITH A PAN OF HOT
WATER UNDER IT (THE WATER ON THE SHELF UNDER THE POT, NOT THE
POT SITTING IN THE WATER)
AND A TOWEL (AND BUBBYS SWEATER, IF I CAN FIND IT) OVER THE TOP
OF THE POT
LEAVE FOR AN HOUR, PUSH DOWN AND RETURN TO POT TO RAISE
ANOTHER HOUR
WHEN RAISED, TAKE OUT OF POT AND KNEAD CUT INTO TWO PIECES AND
KNEAD.
ROLL OUT AND CUT EACH PIECE INTO 8 PIECES, (16 PIECES ALL
TOGETHER) KNEAD EACH PIECE AND LAY ON TOWEL.
ROLL OUT EACH PIECE AND DOT THE MIDDLE OF EACH WITH OIL. THEN
FILL WITH JELLY, CINNAMON AND SUGAR, NUTS OR WHATEVER YOU
WISH, LIKE APPLES AND RAISINS..PUT IN GREASED PAN AND LET RAISE,
THEN BAKE UNTIL BROWN (20 MINUTES OR SO)

WELL , HERE IT IS, GOOD LUCK..... SHIRLEY
