Rice Pudding, from Aunt Shirley

It's easy and creamy

1.5 c cooked rice
1.5 c milk
1/4 c sugar
1/4 tsp salt

1/2 c milk
1 beaten egg
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla
1/8 tsp nutmeg
1/8 tsp cinnamon
1/4 c raisins (optional)

Stir rice, milk, sugar, and salt together and cook till thick, about 15 minutes.

Stir in additional 1/2 cup of milk and egg (and raisins).
Cook for 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Remove from heat and stir in butter, vanilla, cinnamon and nutmeg.
